Sleep is beneficial for our body, we do know that a human body should acquire at least 6-8 hours of sleep per day in order for it to function normally. But what do you think happens when a person doesn't sleep?

1. Your Cancer risk increases
According to AASM'S sleep statement, shortened sleep is associated with higher rates of colorectal cancer, breast cancer, and prostate cancer. You should make sure that you get at least seven or more hours per night to decrease the risk of disease.

2. You actually gain weight



Lack of sleep can cause your body to pack on pounds and slows your metabolic rate. A study examined that people who slept less than five hours each night were more likely to gain weight and eventually become obese.

3. Your skin will look dull

Lack of sleep could certainly reduce your sex drive because sleeping less than 6 hours can reduce sex hormones as much as 10 to 15 percent. Be sure to get enough rest so that your lowered sex drive will not cause harm to your relationships.
